The island community consists of hundreds of countries throughout Europe with different cultures and features and many different cultures. You've probably considered a holiday in Mykonos or in Ibiza. Here is a list of some very beautiful island locations in Europe for you to explore.

01. Crete, Greece
Crete is Greece’s largest island and fifth biggest island. Crete is considered to be one of Europe's most south-facing areas - technically meaning it's much sunnier than most of Europe.
This island has long been renowned for its historical heritage and was once the epicenter of Minoan civilization, the most ancient civilization ever recorded within Europe. 02. Mykonos, Greece
Mykonos (and Santorini) in Greek mythology are pictured by its bright blue sea in its dazzling white homes. Although it has a reputation for partying and dancing it has a rich history here and a beautiful side to the island which sometimes gets not much attention.
It really is gorgeous. In Mykonos you can find an ancient statue of the female warrior Manto Mavrogenous who led the Greek revolution in the 19th century.
03. Island of Skye, Scotland
It's one of Scotland's favourite destinations to go outdoors. Those interested in trekking, mountaineering and swimming will have ample opportunities in this region. Many activities are available. There are some difficult peak climbs in Skye, especially in the Cuillin mountains.
If you do not have experience mountaineering, you can take a relatively straightforward hike into Fairypools where the spectacular scenery and seemingly hidden qualities make the perfect backdrop for summer swimming.

Nestled within Cyclades Islands in the Egean Sea, Santorini represents the epitome Greek Islands perfection. The rough coastline of Santorini is the result of the volcanic eruption that almost destroyed the island in the sixteenth century BC.
Consequently the island has been anchored by an underwater crater that is presently active by this volcano. The tourists don't know that there is still a volcano in Santorinis. The town has some rather interesting beaches - especially its black sandy beaches.

08. Berlengas archipelago, Portugal
One of Portugal's most surprising islands destinations will welcome visitors arriving on boats in the Berlengas archipelago. Three groups of mostly uninhabited islands are in the UNESCO-listed Berlengas Biosphere Reserve.
The archipelago is best known for the Fort of So Joo Baptista, whose remains date in the 1600s and boasts an impressive presence on top of an island of Portugal. In summer rooms may be reserved to stay overnight.
09. Isle of Harris, Scotland
Harris is a Galician island located in Scotland which contains a multitude of landscape areas. Those who love the rugged coastline, idyllic white-sand beaches and green hills are welcome here, as are many of the charming guest houses and bed and breakfasts.

A mere sevenkm from Venice in the Venetian lake, Burano is now a fishing village and has reestablished itself as a tourism hub. Among the major draws here are the colorful row houses. Although the history was not entirely clear, the buildings here are painted with vibrant colors, and neither structure shared a shade.

Maltese islands are one of Europe's most beautiful and rugged islands and one of its underrated! This was incredibly amazing. A rich vault of history extending across Europe. Throughout the centuries this space was occupied from the Phoenicians to the Knights of Saint John. The best dive here is however pretty awesome as there is quite an assortment of colourful marine creatures – such as octopus, stingray, and moray eels.

Ah Corsica, the beautiful French Island with its cliff tops beautiful molded with the elements. Definitely need to explore Calanche Cliff. This stunning cliff becomes even beautifulr as the sun sets.
The roads here offer incredible driving conditions, and there are lots of hiking trails to challenge yourself. Another popular attraction worth seeing in this area can be found in Château Bonaparte, the abode of Napoleon Bonaparte.
19. Ibiza, Spain

Ibiza is certainly famous for its nightlife. There are lots of clubs here. It has many different attractions besides its nightlife.
I enjoy visiting the city for my family. Ibiza has excellent beaches and it has many good villages. The historic city is an ideal place to explore. There is a variety of restaurants and shops! A wonderful spot to see by children is Ibiza Castle.
20. Madeira Island, Portugal
Madeira boasts the most beautiful beaches in North America and the best beaches in Europe, despite the lack of sunlight. There are different food: Madeira is well known for its local food, and includes, alongside the typical Portuguese cuisines, incredible sea dishes and many baked sweets. Madeira's sights are nothing but amazing with dramatic coastal cliffs and scenic Levada walks.
21. Paros, Greece
Paros is a Cyclade which has a high demand among Greeks as well as international visitors for their holidays. Almost all the attractions surround the coastline – with clear water and gradually sloping sand Paros' beautifully-designed beach is particularly great if you bring your whole family, as they offer ample amenities.
It is easily accessible because the island is served by several ferry services from nearby islands and mainland, or by a commuter flight from Athens. A favourite pastime for visitors to Paros is discovering the numerous bays on a boat – there's plenty of locations in which to buy or rent canading or kayaks.
22. São Miguel Island, Portugal

23. Sylt, Germany
Due mainly to the 40 km long sandy shoreline Sylt is very attractive to tourists. The island delights with its pastoral scenery, distinctive vegetation and charming thatched roofs. Although relatively small, there are many hotels and resorts that have beaches with their own unique attractions and a variety of activities available for the whole family.
24. Hvar, Croatia
In Croatia, Martina Places of Jama Hvar Island has some amazing beaches that you can visit anywhere in Europe! Because of its immense splendor, the beautiful beaches and its large array of fantastic experiences it has been nicknamed the Saint Tropez of Croatia.
One must-see must be Hvar's historical old towns, with the historic buildings and the cobbled streets. This is a unique style just like in a traveling magazine. The old town is beautiful, as well as surrounding islands. Hvavar is full of interesting things that are worth exploring.
25. Faroe Islands
Faroe Island is certainly one of the best islands in this world. Think Iceland but jagged, larger and heavier. It's often hard to imagine the things you will find on this site. Its islands are very good for catching the favourite hawks (and the most beloved of travelers). I don't really know if puffins are one of my favorite birds so i was genuinely obsessed and I finally saw it.
26. Lofoten Islands, Norway
The stunning outdoor islands on the Lofoten Islands are situated near Norway, far above the Arctic Circle and spread across turbulent Norwegian waters. Lofoten is the top world-class destination with rugged and majestic mountain ranges that rise above the sea, Norwegian fjords, white beaches and plenty of wildlife. 27. The Isle of Wight, England, UK

It is worth extending the trip to the nearest place. The Isle of Wight became Queen Victoria's favourite vacation location. Osborne House's island hideout looks similar to Italian Renaissance houses. This and an Swiss-style house built as her child's playhouse and garden can be visited, and a private beach can be explored.

The island is divided between Ireland and Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland is an island within the wider British Empire and the Republic of Ireland is its own stand-alone state. Both are excellent locations for visiting.
They are beautiful and dramatic and have incredible historical ruins to explore and they even have fantastic pubs with delicious beers and fish. No matter what the age, Naples is welcome at all times. Some excellent places of interest in Ireland are Dublin Kilkee, Slievel League Cliffs Moher and Aran Islands.
29. Isle of Skye, Scotland, UK
We dream of visiting the Isle of Skye. It is the largest island in the Inner Hebride of Scotland and is one of Europes best. It boasts the finest landscapes in Britain. It is an amazing island where you could go exploring for weeks without seeing all that you could. Even after just a couple of days in Skye you're able to see all the highlights. Skye's iconic character is Storrs Old Man which is a must-see.
30. Balearic Islands
Balearic Islands is stacked with fun things to do with every corner of the island being totally and utterly unique. Plus, as is so often the case with these destinations, there are some awesome boat trips up for grabs.
There are many reasons to visit this enclave in the Balearic Islands. Its clean, clear waters are ideal for swimming and water sports such as scuba diving, windsurfing, fishing, sailing, and even surfing.
