Best Places to Travel from London

Today I'm going to present my favorite London trip list. The country has some great places to visit. There are two-hour holiday trips in the UK to meet all your travel needs. I'll show you our best places to stay in London in the best way possible.

Also included are maps for you. My guides to London weekend tours include several travel destinations. There is nascent and romantic countryside and seafront in England. For everyone a little break is for you.

01. Amsterdam, Netherlands

Duration of flight: 62 mins via plane - 3 hours and 55 mins on Euro Star trains - 3 hours with Eurostar trains - 6 hours. Besides learning about the food and cheese groups you can attend on the Amsterdam Cheese Museum, you may need to shop at a local flea market. What to do?

02. Visiting the Peak District From London

It's an 8-minute train ride from here. Take the Avanti from London Euston to Manchester Piccatille before you take the Northern Train to Edale. Take the Northern Line to Edale. How do I get there by car in 1hr 55min? When to visit: The summer and early September with the cool summer weather and purple heather blanketing the land are ideal to visit:

03. Visiting New Forest From London

Take the Southern Western Railroad by going to Waterloo station, and then to Brockenhurst. The journey by car takes approximately 1h58mins. The park is about 83 km away.

Host Corner Inn (8.8 %). The autumnal colour is stunning; the animals roam freely to eat the acorns and the stag are rutted. Summer is amazingly busy while winters will be cold yet lovely.

04. Canterbury Cathedral & Leeds Castle

Despite Leeds castle and Canterbury cathedral being more than 20 miles apart, they require no longer than a couple of minutes and are often taken on the same day. These can be easily coupled with a short trip to Dover too but we've talked about this later on. When you visit Leeds Castle, it's impossible not to agree to Lord Conway's view that it is ‘a wonderful castle'.

It has a romantic fairy-tale style and is located at a natural lake and has 500 acres of beautiful landscaped parks. Leeds Castle had originally been used as a house by Henry VIII and was owned by six medieval queens.

05. Bath, Somerset, England

The historic city of Bath in Somerset is regarded as an extremely beautiful small town. It's an alternative destination where couples are looking for romantic weekends. A short 1.5-hour walk to the east of London, this lovely destination is likely most famous for the historic Roman Baths that are named. Since over six million people visit Bath every year a number of them have been staying there. Christmas has become an exciting time.

06. Visiting Wye Valley From London

It takes 2h and 7min by train. Take GWR trains to Newport Paddington and then Cross Country trains to Chepstow. Note that if there is no motorized vehicle, there will be a difficult way to navigate the city. Getting here by automobile: 3hrs 36 mins (150 miles / 210 kilometers) from Chepstow.

07. Dover – One of the Best Places to Visit Near London

The ancient town of Dover has a spectacular coastline which hosts the famous White Cliffs. From walks to history exploration, the attractions are diverse. Explore Dover Castle and Secret Tunnels for an insight into the history of the town.

Dover was constructed as a defense against the threat of foreign attacks and is the target of several hostile bombardements throughout the history. Another excellent place to see can be found in the 13th century Dover city hall.

08. Visiting the Shropshire Hills From London

The journey by train takes 2 hours and 16 minutes to complete. Take the Avanti West Coast from London to Euston to Crewe and then take the transport to Wales to Stretton, a market town centered in the Shropshire Hills.

Getting there: 3h22m (161km / 259kms). Located in eastern Shropshire Hills. How do you spend your time at Salwey Arms - 87.7)

09. Weekend in Paris

Outside of the US, Paris is my best choice for an evening trip from London. The city of Light makes for a perfect getaway to the British capital and is my most romantic holiday destination. The city has many things to do: famous museums, high-quality shopping and eating places, excellent nights and Paris landmarks such as Eiffel Towers and Notre Dame.

A short stay in Paris is a great way of experiencing the sights of Paris. You are able to rent hotels in Paris from this location if you have the desire. I wrote several other articles on the best places to stay in Paris for people looking for a specific suggestion.

10. Visiting Stratford-upon-Avon From London

The trip by train takes two hours and three minutes. Take the Chiltern Railway from London Marylebone to Leamington Spa and then take one of the Chiltern Railway trains to Stratford. The trip usually takes about two hours to get to the destination. Where to stay: Crown Palace Stratford-upon-avon (8.7).

11. Weekend in Manchester

Manchester is also an excellent weekend getaway from London. It has some great universities in it. Whether you're looking for vibrant restaurants, stores, or streets to explore, there are great nightlife and entertainment opportunities for visitors. Those are also cultural heritages. The Castlefield Canal system is a great way to learn Manchesters textiles and crafts history.

Salford Quay docks also house the Daniel Libeskind Imperial War Museum North and The Lowry arts centre. You have the possibility of booking a hotel in Manchester here. I stayed at Malmaison Manchester, which has a very good atmosphere.

12. Brighton, East Sussex, England

Brighton's attractive beaches are easily accessible from London. This scenic town is an hour by train south of Britain and offers an authentic British weekend getaway experience. Choose from many good hotel accommodations in historic townhouses with a view on the coastline. Once settled in proceed to the promenade.

13. Weekend in Dublin

Dublin is a favourite weekend trip for the UK. Its vibrant pubs, bustling waterfronts, historical castles and cathedrals, and vast parks are admired by the visitors. A weekend in Dublin gives enough time to observe highlights and take in treasures such as Trinity College Dublin and Book of Kells.

You can also book hotels in Dublin on their websites for their travels. The Westin Dublin is the best hotel. The house is beautiful and has a beautiful setting. Guests are welcome in these rooms.

14. Visiting Rye & Camber Sands From London

Travel by train 1h 12min. Take a South East train to Ashford International and then take Southern Rail to Rye. The journey takes approximately 2.5 hours (76 miles or 111 km). The best times to travel to: During the warmer summers when we have great outdoors opportunities. Bank holiday sunshine should be avoided because of the overwhelming number of tourists to the country.

15. Visiting the Seven Sisters From London

The trip is 1 hour and 32 minutes — take Southern Railway from London Victoria into Eastbourne. There's an express train. The journey from Westbourne takes about 2 hours to 2.5 hours (81 miles / 132 kilometers). Where can I stay: The View hotel (8.8) | The Grand hotel (8.7) Ravilious (8.7)

16. Visiting Dorset (Jurassic Coast) From London

From London Waterloo to Wareham, train travels are 2 hours and 15 mins. It’s an easy train ride. Driving is generally 2.5 to 3 hours (122 miles). Note that travelling by car is recommended for getting around Dorset easier. Where can you sleep in Crown Hotel? Get there early for all those popular spots!

17. Visiting Oxford From London

How to reach the airport: the entire trip takes 45 minutes. Bring the GWR from London to Paddington to Oxford. It is an easy train journey. The route is usually two hours (56 miles / 90 kilometers), but the road is usually full of traffic.

Where should I stay: Marriott Courtyard 8.7 | Headwaters River (8.7) | Hill Farm (9.9). In the same time the students returned to the humble abodes and the city returned to the residents and tourist destinations.

18. Visiting North Norfolk From London

How can I get to Norwich? Take the Metro London Liverpool Street. The journey to the beach in a 3 hour journey took 146 kilometers from Cromer to Cromer. Where to stay: Sea-Marbe Hotel 8.3. | Kingshead Holt 9.3. Byford 9.1.

19. Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England

Cambridge University is a popular university town for people who are unable to drive too far. The lovely old town offers a great place to visit and has plenty worth recommending. Setup a store in Cambridge's center and close enough for people to walk around.

It also has a large selection of luxurious hotels and affordable B&B options to choose from. Save time by exploring one or two old college campuses, many even offering short-term student accommodation for tourists.

20. Visiting Brussels From London

Taking a Train: This trip takes 2 hours and 1 minute total to reach. Using a Eurostar bus from St Pancras International to Brussels-Middi - a place of central importance. The train takes us directly to the destination. The ideal time for visiting: In summer when the weather is warm and if there are several small popup terraces.

21. Visiting the Malvern Hills From London

It takes 2 hours and 15 mins to travel by train. Take a train in London Paddington towards Great Malvern. The trains run on the same day. Route from the hotel: 2hrs 53min. - 141 miles / 223 km to Grand Malvern (on a hilltop).

The best times to visit are during the summer months between June and August as the weather is nice and cool. A further alternative is the fact that May and August have warmer weather and fewer crowds.

22. Cornwall – A Gorgeous Weekend Away From London

From beautiful coastline views and stunning coastline views to picturesque port villages, Cornwall has something for everyone. It's the perfect place for the outdoors, hikers, surfers, food lovers, and anyone who just wants to enjoy the beauty of the sea.

Cornwall is also one of Londons best weekends out of London since it is slightly farther out and has just too many options. Keep an eye out for longer stays. Best thing: Take a walk around the cobblestone streets of St Ive and taste the delicious Cornish Pastry at St IIve's bakery.

23. Visiting Bristol From London

It takes about 1 hour 33 minutes to arrive. Take the GWR from London Paddington into Bristol Temple Mead. It is an easy train trip. The journey (118 miles / 189 miles) takes between 2h 30min and 4 hours depending on your travel route to London. Guests must stay at SACO Bristol. However you can do anything throughout the year.

24. The Cotswolds – One of the Best London Weekend Getaways

What is worth visiting: The Cotswolds offer an ideal rural getaway in London as well as beautiful village landscapes. Although the famous rows of stone chalets will certainly make the trip alone, they offer many more enjoyable activities.

Best Things: Take the iconic Washington Avenue walk at Bibury, an attractive village in the Cotswolds. Enjoy a scenic river ride in Bourton-on-The-Water, this delightful town. Take a guided Harry Potter tour to Lacock. Enjoy riding horses and other fun outdoors at Minchinhampton. No one missed out on the beautiful stone cottage in Castle Combe.

25. York – One of the Best Weekend Breaks From London

The beautiful, charm and historical city of York is a beautiful place that is full of beautiful and interesting sights and places to go during a weekend away from London. A visit here will allow you time travel, experience Yorkshire beauty, and have fun eating.

Explore York Minster, an impressive Gothic cathedral in North East Europe. Take a short trip around the medieval townwalls too. Take a tour of a Shambles shopping street in Europe.

26. Visiting Amsterdam From London

Train travel takes four hours and seven minutes. Using the Eurostar from Saint Pancras International you can go straight into Amsterdam Centraal, right in town. This would be an easy journey!

What's the best time to visit: 26th April – the birthday of King George. The royal anniversary was the best party of the year. The entire city is filled with people dressed in orange, and everything happens on each corner. We promise you a memorable trip to the top!

27. South Downs National Park

I particularly like the South Downs National Park, the Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and Arundel with its stunning castle. Petworth, a chocolate-box town full of pretty streets and shops, is also great. The town is home to the impressive Petworth House, a 17th-century stately home near London.

28. Stonehenge

Best Day Trips from London It would be a shame to pass up the chance to see this iconic UNESCO World Heritage site. With a history that spans nearly 5,000 years, Stonehenge is a must for amateur historians, archaeologists and architecture enthusiasts. Plus, with a plethora of organized tours, it's a cinch to travel between London and Stonehenge.

29. Harry Potter fans

Harry Potter filming locations inside Oxford's ancient colleges with an Oxford University and City Walking Tour ! Insider Tip: Consider paying a visit to The Jam Factory for a light breakfast before starting your exploration for the day. It includes a walking tour of some of the Harry Potter filming locations in London, in combination with the studio tour afterwards.

30. Margate

The Kent coastal town of Margate is awash with cold-brew coffee and craft beer, with enough salty charm to help you weather gusty sea winds. Start at the Turner Contemporary gallery, then mosey over to retro theme park and roller-disco Dreamland.
