01. Tokyo – Essence Of Japan
Tokyo has its colors reflected in Japanese architecture. Japan has numerous tourist destinations which are impossible for an individual trip in a day. Nevertheless the famous city of Tokyo deserves an excellent place for an itinerary because of its anime, cultural and spectacular attractions.
And if historical sites have little interest you have plenty of restaurants nearby! It was certainly voted a good spot for visiting Japan. 02. Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park
Memorial cemetery buried in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is a sad tribute to victims of the Hiroshima bomb. The cenotaph is a solitary stone memorial inscription with the inscription: Let everyone rest peacefully, for it is our duty to stop repeating the sins.
The Hiroshima Peace Museum at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park has been open since 1955 by the City of Hiroshima. The commemorations are for people who died during the Hiroshima Atom bomb attack on August 6, 1945. This museum presents Hiroshima's history before and after bomb attacks. It is located at Hiroshima's centre with a variety of attractions.
03. Temple City: Historic Nara
The centre of Japanese history for centuries, the beautiful untouched city of Nara houses numerous historic buildings, including important national treasures and artwork. Aside from the many historic streets, it has an abundance of historical temples and monuments.
These include the splendid seventh-century Kofuku-jin Temple, probably the best known of the Seven Great Temples of Nara. Other interesting sights on Todaiji is the great south gate (Nandaimo).
04. Hiroshima and Miyajima
Hiroshima is associated by some as having suffered terribly, but its city has more than historical significance as does Miyajima's neighboring region. Hiroshima is known for being one of two U.S. nuclear bombs aimed at Japan in 1945.
Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum has its headquarters in Peace Park near the hauntingly named A-Bomb Dome. Peacepark and museum are worthwhile to visit, and after experiencing the horrors of 1945 you will see a brighter future in Hiroshima.
05. Chūbu-Sangaku National Park and the Japanese Alps
Japan has numerous beautiful natural areas, most of which are designated national parks. A very beautiful national park located in Honshu's centre Chbu-Sangaku National Reserve. The Hide Mountains and Japan Alps are found in the north and south parts of the park. This country is home to several of the tallest mountains of the nation, including Hotaka at 3190 metres.
06. Mt. Fuji – A Breathtaking Marvel

07. The Kiso Valley and Nakasendo Road
Nakasendo Way is one of the best spots in Japan for a walking tour of villages in the Kiso Valley. The Kiso Valley is located south of Japan's mountains near Nagano. The best way to explore the Nakasendo Route is by walking between towns on the historic route used in the Edo Period for travel from Tokyo to Kyoto.
08. Sapporo – Forget The Heat And Humidity
In cities such as Sappora, the best thing you'll ever want. In addition to helping you escape cold temperatures, the city also offers a chance to visit your winter wonderland during the Sapporo Snow Festival.

09. Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, Kyoto
Upon entering the Fushimi Inari - Taishashi Shrine you see red. A major shrine in Japanese culture, the Fushimi Inari shrine lies in south Kyoto and is known for its many scarlet-patterned gates spanning a network of paths.
This arch-covered trail commands silence and offers a relaxing stroll around Mt. Inari. Inari is Shinto’s god of rice – the main god in Shintoism. Fushimi Inari is a very important shrine in his memory.
10. Kinosaki Onsen
Kinosaki is famous for its amazing hot springs, and is regarded as an onsen town since its eighth century. Its numerous bathhouses and traditional inns are situated in the south-central Kanshu region of the south-central Hoshu region.
Now considered to belong to Toyooka's city, the village is separated from a beautiful canal with willows while the river Maruyama flows along the coast towards the shore. There are seven private Onsen baths for tourists and the warm water is said to contain healing properties. The hot springs provide an excellent location for visiting Kinosaki.
11. The Island Shrine of Itsukushima, Miyajima
A short ride from Hiroshima is the island of Miyajima famous around the world for its sacred shrines. Miyajima stretches over an area of about 30 square kilometers at Hiroshima Bay. The majority of temple buildings were built around the eighteenth century and are built around the water of an isolated bay with piles. At high tide the effects of the building seem stunning as it appears floating around water, even with the famous great floating gate, Otori.
12. Explore a Japanese castle
In Japan, castles are of very varied origin. The first castles in Japan were built in the sixth century and the castles were simply fortified in order to prevent attack on neighboring nations based on their location. The first castle tower in 1220 was built with increasing importance in subsequent centuries.
Japan has been united under unified rulers for most of the 16th century with castles becoming important parts of the political and militariest strategy. In that time many of Japan's most famous castles are built such as Kyoto Castle and Hiroshima Castle. Many Japanese castles were destroyed during WW2, although several are rebuilt.
13. Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, Tokyo
The Shinjuku district is known for its electric nights, trendy restaurants and luxurious hotel rooms. But its heart lies in the park and houses an important natural attraction in Tokyo: Shinjuku Gyoen park.
In the park are sprawling gardens and paths, with walking paths tucked into beautiful flower gardens, ponds and manicured trees. When cherries bloom, the park offers an excellent location for viewing powder pink and blue waves. During Japanese Edo time (1603-1847) the park became a residence of a feudal ruler.
14. Soak in an Onsen
Onsens are hot spring pools that exist either within private or public settings. Japan's rich volcanic activity can be found in all the areas of the country. Onsen were traditionally separated by gender and continue to do so today in almost every onsen's case. Similar sento is in the bathroom where normal heat is heated in the shower or bath.
In winter you need an in-water dip in onsen in Japan. Ryokans are traditional inns that offer guest rooms containing tatami floors and futon bed sheets. Many of the Ryokan's also have an outdoor bath area that is suited to guests who prefer hot spring bathing.
15. Hokkaido – Closer To Nature
A refuge from the warm springs? Famous for its volcanos, hot springs and snow-packed landscape, the beautiful islands look like the illustrations in picture books. It has a number of attractions and experiences which make it a wonderful vacation destination for children and the significant other.

16. Nagano – Great For Family
There's no better place to visit in Japan to escape the heat. Nagano lies in the heart of Central Tokyo and offers many hidden gems, including the NINEJA village for children, the Shiga Kogen Ski Resort, the Zenko-ji temple and other attractions.

17. Nara – City Of Culture
House of cute deer, temple & so much more! It is not easy to list all the Japanese attractions without Nara on it. It is home to many shrines, monastic buildings and the famous Nara Park, a place for people to discover Japan. Clearly this place is a must-see on Japans list for a visit.
18. Hiroshima – Historically Significant City
The City that Enhances Japan's Landscapes! Hiroshima has remained one of Japan's biggest destinations after being one of the victims of infamous nuclear bombings. And believe me, apart from its dedicated monuments and sites reflecting their historical past, it is also filled with amazing sights including the Itsuku shrine.

19. Takayama – Away From City Life

20. Hakone Open-Air Museum, Hakone
Hakone, located west of Tokyo within Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, is famed for breathtaking mountain scenery. I'll take you there for a visit. it's a beautiful town. A more interesting attraction in this peaceful paradise is the impressive open air museum.
This is a sculpture park which spans 17 ha. It is Japan's first free-of-charge museum and features nearly 100 sculptures throughout the grounds.
21. Fukuoka Castle Ruins and the City's Ancient Festivals
The ruins of the once-important Fukuoki Castle (Fukuok-j), constructed around the early 1600s form a central part of Maizu park. The castle was once the best example of a prolific and magnificent hilltop house chosen for the city's shoguns and city leaders.
Nevertheless after the Meiji Restore, the palace was demolished to protest a feudal system. It remains today the remains of the castle: the principal entrance and a turret. Tourists come here to walk the leafy paths and scenic views with spectacular views to the Naka River. If you climb over a ruin, you can see vistas over the town. This park is particularly nice for spring when cherry blossoms appear.
22. Izu Peninsula
Most people travelling from Japan to Japan travel via Izu without realising. Shinkansen trains between Tokyo and Kyoto pass the southern end of Izu. Most gems are located at southern end of the island.
Izu is rich in nature, onsen and some popular spots in the peninsula include quaint Shuzenji Onsen village, coast-side Izu-Kogen and historic Shimoda. There exist various remarkable ryokans with hot water, and are among the top places to enjoy an elegant Ryokan in the close proximity to Kyoto and Tokyo.
23. Nagasaki – A City With Sad History
The city of Japan also has the most important ports in the south of Japan. Similar to Hiroshima, Nagasaki has its own memorial for peace. You can visit other temples as well as shrines at this site for an insight into cultural and historical aspects of Tokyo. The beautiful reflections reflect Japan. 24. Iya Valley
Iya Valley in the Shikoku Valley is the most hidden region in Japan. This region is surrounded by narrow streams and a steep mountain top with dense vegetation.
