The selection and choice of a great place of lodging in Zanzibar can seem overwhelming! In this book we list all our best neighborhoods and suggest hotels for each budget.

Then in 2020 I went to Zanzibar and was so incredibly captivated by the atmosphere and the culture. I like beaches as a Florida resident so Zanzibar is a favorite place. I spend most of my time on the east side of the island, visiting the north and Stone Town quickly. What are some places of interest in Zanzibar?

01. Paje Beach (East Coast)

Its eastern coastline also has numerous hotels for beaches. It is generally less touristy in the town, though you can still discover a great number of ex-pat owners who live in the town. These beaches are beautiful at this side and have high palms and pristine white sand.

While northern beaches are more suitable for diving, the eastern coast offers a good chance of kitesurfing. Budget—Sagado Bungalows: There are many different choices at Paje Beach for staying at beachside Bungalows. The most prestigious. It offers an impressive garden and fire at night on Saturdays. It also has beach bars!

This charming and cozy guesthouse is located in thatched-floored buildings, two minutes walking distance from the beautiful Nungwi Beach and just 65 km from the Abeid Amani Karume Airports. 07. Explore Jozani National Park

Just a short walk from Paje Beach lies beautiful Jozani Nationalpark. Unlike other National Parks in Zanzibar only one can be accessed from land and Jozani must be visited. Explore another side of Zanzibar's natural paradise.

This Nationalpark is open from 7.30am till 5.45pm each day. A complimentary tour of the forest is offered at the cost of admission. The park is home to flying birds and monkey communities. After the tours you can visit Park by walking up a boardwalk to see forest habitats.

08. Visit the Old Slave Market

Its qualities and reputation in spice trading helped make Zanzibar an important part. In Bagamoyo on Tanzania's mainland, thousands of migrants are being sold before being seized and shipped back for sale. From here, slavery went to Europe and the Middle East. It was centered on slave markets.

It was the only stable slave market in Africa at its closing in 1873. It's definitely a sad site that contrasts the vibrant community and the beautiful landscape. However the market and trade in slaves is the main cause of the diversity of the islands both in population, food, and architecture.

10. East Coast – Where to Stay in Zanzibar on a Budget

It’s the perfect combination of relaxed and cool, with a long stretch of beautiful sandy beaches dotted with palm-covered hills. Debatable. the beaches look as spectacular as the famous North coast.

11. Stone Town – Where to Stay in Zanzibar for Your First Time

Zanzibar offers a vast selection of world-class beaches which many tourists overlook and forget about! There can be no better place to explore the area – Stone Town! Known to be culturally rich, this quirky town is lined with stone-built bars and restaurants dotted along cobbled streets.

The intriguing village can easily reach the postcard destination, making it the perfect spot to stay for a couple of days on the Zazibar. Is this the time for some good advice? We suggest staying close by the old town as certain areas may seem a bit sketchy.

12. Watch a Sunset at Kendwa Beach

Around Nungwa in northwestern Africa is another good beach. Kendwa Beach is a sandy beach with very little change of tide. It looks absolutely beautiful every day. The wide open beach surrounded by numerous hotels provides a safe and pristine beach.

It is easy for you to locate a piece of sand in these more busy days. The pool is quiet and colorful and the chances of spotting colorful starfish are high. Sunsets at Kendwa Beach are, however, the highlights. Facing the west side, you enjoy a golden hour unobstructed.

13. Visit Prison Island

Changgu is a popular destination among beach bum scouts. It is dominated by dense forests which encase white sands. Stone Town is a short boat ride away and makes an ideal day trip. In addition to the sparkling water and corals visible from your spot at the beach there are several giant turtles.

This majestic animal came to the Seychelles. Several turtle species have a lifespan of over one hundred years. Enjoy these sights from the distance while exploring the whole island before soaking up some of the blue sea air.

14. Have Dinner at The Rock Restaurant

Rock Restaurant is among Zanzibar's best restaurants. The fascinating restaurants are anchored upon rocks and become islands on the sea floor at high tide when the water is warm and dry. This restaurant is located in southeast Florida, just across the road from some of the most spectacular beaches in the world.

17. Nungwi (North Coast) – Where to stay in Zanzibar for Nightlife

Nungwi is one of Zanzibar's most popular destinations and offers visitors an ideal combination of spectacular beaches and lively nightlife. Nungwi boasts many hotels and restaurants as well as numerous bars – lots to see and do. These trips can also include onboard bicycles through sandy dune and beach excursions, snorkeling and water kayaks.

Nungwi was popular because it was unaffected by tide and the beaches were easily accessible all days long. 18. Kendwa (North Coast) – Coolest Place to Stay in Zanzibar

Kendwa has a slightly calmer vibe than Nungwi. A few miles away you will find incredible coral reefs that make it a good place to explore, snorkel and dive. Kendwa is nicknamed "rasta beach vibe" and has a good choice of stunning beaches equipped with laid-back beach bars.

In spite of its peacefuler climate, Kendwa often hosts amazing full moon parties at night, attracting tourists from all across the world. When you travel to Zanzibar, it is a wonderful event! The Villa is situated in a peaceful environment inside Kendwa Village.

19. Enjoy the Nightlife

After the Full Moon Party Zanzibar offers an extensive nightlife which ranges from popular sundowners to club nights. Visiting the island is fun if you want to. Sunsets never fade. Zanzibar certainly knows a golden hour.
